Drip Sanyantr

Rajasthan
Quick Summary: Drip Sanyantr from Rajasthan's Agriculture Department subsidises drip irrigation plants for farmers with at least 0.2 hectares of irrigated land, paying 70% for general farmers and 75% for small, marginal, SC, ST and women farmers on up to 5 hectares.

About Drip Sanyantr

Through Drip Sanyantr, the Agriculture Department of the Rajasthan government provides subsidies to farmers. A drip plant makes use of every drop of water, cutting water use by 75-80 percent and improving the quality of produce through efficient technology. Running a drip system well depends on working out the right water requirement, since the system supplies only as much water as the plants need. Because plant water needs change with the season and from month to month, the hours of operation are adjusted to match.

Important points

1. Once the irrigation department has granted administrative approval. 1. With the farmer’s consent, the subsidy is credited either to the farmer’s account or to the supplier manufacturer/dealer.
