About International Financial Assistance
To help Gujarat’s sportspersons compete abroad, the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat runs the “International Financial Assistance” scheme. Athletes taking part in international-level competitions receive a one-time financial assistance of ₹75,000/-, which can go towards boarding, lodging, air travel, kit or other miscellaneous costs. The aim is to make sure money problems do not stop deserving athletes from chasing excellence on the world stage.
