Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance for Technology Acquisition
About Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance for Technology Acquisition
Gujarat’s Industries and Mines Department launched the “Gujarat Textile Policy” as an umbrella scheme to attract fresh investment to the textile industry and reinforce the value chain sub-sector by sub-sector, giving extra focus to garments and apparel and to technical textiles. Valid from October 1st, 2024 to September 29th, 2029, it promotes green growth and a reduced carbon footprint, with the aim of making Gujarat’s textile sector globally competitive and environmentally sustainable. The “Assistance for Technology Acquisition” component offers money to industrial units that obtain suitable technology from recognised institutions. By upgrading product or process technology this way, units can stay competitive and keep innovating.
