Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance for Saving in Consumption of Energy and Water
About Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance for Saving in Consumption of Energy and Water
The “Gujarat Textile Policy” is a broad umbrella programme of the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat. Its goals are to boost investment in textiles, build up the value chain across all sub-sectors and give particular strength to the garments and apparel and technical textiles industries. Running from October 1st, 2024 to September 29th, 2029, the policy pushes for lower carbon emissions and green growth, aiming for a textile sector that can compete worldwide while staying environmentally sustainable. Its “Assistance for Saving in Consumption of Energy and Water” component helps both existing and new industrial units that work to use less energy and water. A share of the expense of energy/water audits, and of buying the equipment those audits recommend, is covered to promote efficient use of resources.
