About Awarding Teleeducation Scholarships To Afghan Students
Run under the e-VidyaBharati Network Project and launched by the Ministry of External Affairs in October 2019, this scheme awards 1,000 scholarships each year to Afghan students pursuing UGC-approved online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Indian universities. It positions India as a global higher-education hub and gives Afghan nationals access to quality education in fields like Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Arts, and more.
Scholarship tenure:
Students are expected to finish their UG or PG programme within the prescribed 3-year or 2-year window, respectively, though any relaxation strictly follows UGC guidelines.
