Eligibility of Students:
The Scheme covers OBC/EBC/DNT students pursuing studies beyond…
The Scheme covers OBC/EBC/DNT students pursuing studies beyond Class XII.
OBC/EBC/DNT students whose total annual family income from…
OBC/EBC/DNT students whose total annual family income from all sources is up to ₹2.50 lakhs, and who have secured admission to a full-time prescribed course at any notified institution as per that institution's general selection criteria, are eligible for a scholarship under the Scheme, up to the number of scholarships (slots) allotted to the institution for that course.
The Scheme's benefit will not extend to more…
The Scheme's benefit will not extend to more than 2 siblings in a family; students must submit an affidavit to the Institution certifying that they are not the third sibling of the family availing benefits under the scheme. Note 01: If the institution finds fewer eligible candidates in the 1st year than the slots allotted, the remaining slots may go to eligible students in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, based on inter-se merit of the previous year's results, giving priority to those with more years left to complete the course — i.e., 2nd year students are prioritised over 3rd year students, and so on. Note 02: 30% of the slots allotted to an Institution are reserved for eligible girl students, ranked by inter-se merit; if not enough girl students are available, the slots may be transferred to eligible boy students by inter-se merit. Note 03: However, the 30% reservation mentioned above excludes girl students selected on the basis of their standing in the overall merit list of OBC/EBC/DNT students at the Institution. Note 04: The scholarship will terminate if the student fails to be promoted to the next semester/class. Note 05: Since the fund is mainly earmarked for OBC students, preference is given to OBC students under the scheme. Note 06: If the number of eligible admitted students exceeds the slots allotted to the institution, the scholarship will be limited to the top students in the inter-se merit list based on the course's admission criteria; where two students tie for the last available slot, preference goes to the one with lower family income. Remaining OBC/EBC/DNT students admitted to the institution will be eligible for the Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) run by this Ministry through State Governments/UT Administrations, provided they are otherwise eligible under that scheme. An institution outside these categories must instead qualify as i) a National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) A++ or A+ Accredited Institution, or ii) a Top 100 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Institution, or iii) an Institution of National Importance per lists issued periodically by the Ministry of Education (GoI).
