About Atal Sneh Yojana
Detailed Gujarat’s Atal Sneh Yojana was launched on the 25th of December 2016, marking the ninety-second birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Vijay Rupani introduced it with a focus on making sure children are healthy after birth. The decision was taken at the Gandhinagar Civil Hospital, and the scheme looks after children for up to two months after they are born. Having already concentrated on child health and several major illnesses, the government has now turned to core issues. In effect, the Atal Sneh Yojana takes the place of the decades-old Annual School Program run jointly by the health and education departments. Under the new scheme, newborns are screened specifically for health defects so these can be corrected. It is being rolled out across the whole of Gujarat. Any illness found during screening is treated straight away, and the programme runs for two full months. Objectives
1. The scheme helps give children better health, which in turn helps prevent malnutrition, disorders and disease. 1. Roughly seven percent of babies born each year have some disorder, which has become a serious concern internationally. Preventing such problems can place the country in a stronger position at international health conferences. 1. Through schemes like this, the government also hopes to build a stronger young generation, which would lead to a stronger nation.
some of the dire diseases kids suffer from
1. Children can have very serious conditions, including complex birth defects such as Down’s syndrome, congenital deafness, club foot, neural tube defect, etc. 1. That is not the full list. Some diseases lie dormant in the genes, and examining children at a very young age lets doctors treat them more effectively. 1. The state’s Chief Minister announced that the government will take care of every disease detected at government maternity homes.
