About Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Upchar Yojana
Implemented by the Department of Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, the “Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Upchar Yojana” gives financial help towards treating critical illnesses such as cancer, kidney transplant and severe liver diseases, and also supports acid attack victims. Eligible persons can obtain medical grants of up to ₹5,00,000/- to meet the cost of treatment.

Eligibility Requirements

Benefits Provided
Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Upchar Yojana provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance: For each case, up to ₹5,00,000/- is given to treat critical illnesses like cancer, kidney transplant and severe liver diseases.
Valid Hospitals
Valid Hospitals: Costs are met only for treatment at Jharkhand's medical colleges, central medical institutions or empaneled hospitals. (Link)
Expense Reimbursement
Expense Reimbursement: The grant pays for bed charges, medicines, surgeries and other connected expenses. NOTE: Disbursal: The grant is paid straight to the hospital by electronic transfer or bank draft.
