About Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for assistance to MSMEs: EPF Reimbursement to MSMEs
Conceived by the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat, the “Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for MSMEs” is an umbrella scheme meant to reinforce the state’s dynamic MSME sector, which has a strong bearing on employment, GDP and exports. Valid from October 5, 2022, to October 4, 2027, the initiative encourages growth and investment and furthers the vision of “Aatmanirbhar Gujarat” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat.” Listed under the component “Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification”, this assistance pays back to qualifying MSMEs in Gujarat the employer’s statutory Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) contribution made for their newly engaged employees.

Benefits Provided
Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for assistance to MSMEs: EPF Reimbursement to MSMEs provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:

1. 100% Reimbursement: The complete employer’s statutory EPF contribution for new employees, i.e. 100%, is refunded. 1. Maximum Limit: The refund cannot exceed 12% of basic salary plus Dearness Allowance (DA) or ₹1800 per employee per month, whichever is smaller. 1. Extended Support: Help continues for as long as 10 years from the date commercial production starts.
