About Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance to SHG for Job Work (Fiscal Incentives to Labour Intensive Unit)
The Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat, brought in the “Gujarat Textile Policy” as an umbrella framework. It is designed to raise investment levels in textiles, consolidate the value chain within every sub-sector, and lend particular support to the garments and apparel and technical textiles segments. In effect from October 1st, 2024 to September 29th, 2029, the policy champions green growth and a lighter carbon footprint, seeking a globally competitive and environmentally sustainable textile industry. Its “Assistance to SHG for Job Work” component extends financial help to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) taking up job work. Members who qualify can receive payroll assistance and incentives, strengthening their finances and encouraging women to take part in industrial activity.
