Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance to SHG for Job Work
About Gujarat Textile Policy: Assistance to SHG for Job Work
As an umbrella scheme of the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat, the “Gujarat Textile Policy” sets out to increase textile investment, make each sub-sector’s value chain stronger, and especially build up garments and apparel along with technical textiles. The policy is effective from October 1st, 2024 to September 29th, 2029 and stresses green growth and lower carbon output, so that the sector can be globally competitive and environmentally sustainable. Through the “Assistance to SHG for Job Work” component, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) doing job work receive financial help. Qualifying SHG members can get payroll assistance and incentives that improve their financial stability and draw more women into industrial work.
