Supporting Community Radio Movement in India
About Supporting Community Radio Movement in India
The “Supporting Community Radio Movement in India” scheme works to strengthen both new and existing Community Radio Stations (CRS) nationwide, providing resources, technology and capacity-building support to improve community broadcasting, particularly in rural, remote, coastal, disaster-prone, North-Eastern and aspirational areas. It also runs workshops and training to raise awareness and encourage more organisations to set up CRS, with the broader aim of driving socio-economic and cultural development by giving local communities a platform to share information and voice their concerns.
