Women Scientist Scheme-C
About Women Scientist Scheme-C
MoST runs Women Scientist Scheme-C for female candidates with a career break who want to address societal challenges through practical S&T interventions. The scheme provides 1-year training in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs)—covering patent search, know-how, drafting, filing, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright—delivered in partnership with various Knowledge Partners such as law firms, Knowledge Processing Organizations (KPOs), companies, and government agencies. The Patent Facilitating Centre of the Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC) implements the scheme. Candidates need a minimum qualification of Master of Science or a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology or equivalent, and proficiency in handling computerized databases, along with data collection, collation, analysis, and report preparation, is desirable.
