Through “Empowering Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste Communities Using Information And Communication Technology Tools”, the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa, gives Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste communities Information Technology training at no charge. A variety of job-oriented Information Technology courses are on offer. Key provisions include teaching basic computer skills to local young people, homemakers and other residents, running structured training programmes as needs dictate, and making sure at least one person in every family in the State becomes Information Technology literate.

Schedule Tribe and Schedule Caste beneficiaries receive Information Technology training without paying any fee.
Training Content:
Courses include basic computer skills, a range of job oriented Information Technology programmes, and structured training designed around the community's needs.
Implementing Agency Funding:
M/s Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited (ITG), the nominated implementing agency, is given a yearly Grant-in-Aid under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) and the Schedule Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) to deliver this free training.
