About PM Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN)

Launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, “PM-Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN)” works to lift the socio-economic standing of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) by closing gaps in health, education, and livelihoods, and by saturating PVTG communities and families with basic facilities and services. It rolls out 11 critical interventions through nine line Ministries/Departments, covering pucca houses, safe drinking water, road and mobile connectivity, electricity, and vocational education for individual households and habitations. Notably, it works through inter-ministerial convergence, with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs as the nodal ministry while each participating ministry runs its own Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored schemes.
