National Youth Corps
About National Youth Corps
Run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this volunteership scheme draws on disciplined, dedicated youth aged 18-29 who want to contribute to nation-building, letting them serve up to two years in nation-building work for a monthly honorarium of ₹5,000/-.
Every National Youth Volunteer (NYV) needs to be IT-savvy, capable of preparing and uploading youth-programme reports/documentation online, and comfortable drafting media/news statements. Each NYV should also know how to use required mobile apps, such as Digidhan and Digital India.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) implements the NYC Scheme.
