National Mission on Natural Farming
About National Mission on Natural Farming
Run by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme that spreads natural farming through capacity-building, awareness drives, certification, and financial help toward on-farm input production infrastructure. It aims to cut farmers’ reliance on bought-in inputs, bring down cultivation costs, improve soil health, and raise farm incomes — backing natural farming clusters, Farmer Field Schools, Natural Farming Recognition System certification, and market-development efforts for certified produce, alongside integrated crop-livestock models built around desi cows and local resources.
