About Mandahasam Scheme To Provide Artificial Dentures To Senior Citizens
The Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala, runs the “Mandahasam Scheme to Provide Artificial Dentures to Senior Citizens”, under which elderly people receive tooth sets free of cost. Losing teeth in old age can lead to nutritional, physical and mental difficulties, and the scheme sets out to ease these problems. The department will draw up a list of dental colleges and dental treatment centres where beneficiaries can be treated, and will lay down standards and norms to guarantee good-quality artificial teeth and treatment.

Note:
Cases involving only a partial replacement of teeth are not covered by the scheme.
