About Khel Mahakumbh
Started in 2010 by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, “Khel Mahakumbh” sets out to build sportsmanship, draw large numbers of people into sporting events, and spot talent in every age group by offering free sports services, organised competitions, and substantial cash rewards. Participation has grown steadily since the scheme began, and top performers get the chance to move on to further training and development schemes of the Sports Authority of Gujarat, which also implements Khel Mahakumbh.

Employees transferred in from other states qualify only if they moved to the district no less than 6 months before registering. Note: Registration is allowed in 2 sports at most.

Online Application
Applicants can apply for Khel Mahakumbh through the online application process outlined below.
Application Process
Participation Flow:
Students of schools and colleges register through their own institutions.
Those who are not students register through the District Sports Training Center.
Registered players then compete level by level, beginning at the school/village stage and moving up to the state stage.
