Offered under the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)” for Thrust Sectors, the “Scheme For Marine Products Processing Units” is a sub scheme of the Dept. of Industries, U.T. Administration Of Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu. Its launch was on 3rd July, 2015 for a five-year period, and an extension from 20th May, 2022 has kept it operative till 19th May, 2027. > Objective of the “Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS)”:
The scheme is built to give a further fillip to specialised Thrust Sectors, among them Plastic Furniture, Steel Furniture, Brass Furniture, Metal Furniture, Cane Furniture, Wooden Furniture, Bamboo Furniture, Fibre Glass Furniture and Marble Furniture etc, with the goal of making the U.T. a Special Hub for the furniture sector. It also targets maximum Women participation in business, reduced unemployment among local residents and incentives for industries to employ resident laborers etc. > Objective of the “Scheme For Marine Products Processing Units” Sub-scheme:
For the Establishment/ Expansion of Marine Products processing industries, this sub-scheme provides a Credit linked interest subsidy.

Benefits Provided
Investment Promotion Scheme (IPS) for Thrust Sectors: Scheme For Marine Products Processing Units provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Credit Linked Interest Subsidy
Credit Linked Interest Subsidy: Marine products processing units receive 60% per annum of interest, capped at ₹50,00,000/- per annum, for 5 years OR the loan repayment period, whichever comes earlier.
