INDIRAMMA Old Age Pension (Rural)
About INDIRAMMA Old Age Pension (Rural)
“INDIRAMMA Old Age Pension (Rural)” was introduced in 2006-07 by the Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Elderly men and women aged 65 years or above who are destitute, meaning they have little or no means of subsistence and no family or relative to rely on, get a pension every month. Eligibility also requires a BPL family background, residence in the district, and no coverage under any other Pension Scheme. Village Gram Sabhas select beneficiaries, and the Panchayat Secretary pays them on the first date of every month.
