The Government of Puducherry started the HIV / AIDS Pension Scheme to give people affected by HIV/AIDS a monthly allowance, so they can meet small personal or medical costs without relying on others.

The person must be registered and receiving regular treatment at the ART Centre, IGMC&RI, Puducherry / Link ART Centre JIPMER (Puducherry region), ART Centre, Nagapattinam (Karaikal region), ART Centre, Calicut (Mahe region), ART Centre, Kakinada (Yanam region), or any other ART/Link ART centre set up in the UT of Puducherry in future.
Benefits Provided
Hiv / Aids Pension Scheme provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Below 60 years of age
Below 60 years of age: ₹ 1500/- a month.
From 60 years to 79 years of age
From 60 years to 79 years of age: ₹ 2000/- a month.
80 years of age or older
80 years of age or older: ₹ 3000/- a month.
