About Financial Assistance to Indigent Artistes
The Arts and Culture Department, Puducherry, introduced the “Financial Assistance to Indigent Artistes” scheme, paying ₹1,000/- a month to needy artists aged 50 years or more who have contributed to music, dance, drama, folk, painting, sculpture and similar arts. Beneficiaries must belong to the Union Territory of Puducherry by birth or by domicile.
