How to Apply

Offline Application

Applicants can apply for Grant Scheme for Cultivation of Aromatic Plants - Centre for Aromatic Plants through the offline application process outlined below.

📋

Application Process

Farmers wishing to join the scheme should write an application to the Director, Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP), Selaqui, Dehradun, and either post it or hand it over at CAP headquarters. Land records, the Aadhaar card and a mobile number must go along with it. Field staff from CAP then visit and inspect the applicant's land. Keeping the area's agro-climatic conditions in mind, they suggest which of the nine species chosen under the scheme would suit the land, and send their report to the Director, CAP. Once approved, the farmer starts growing the suggested crops using personal funds. Registration with the CAP office is compulsory within three months of beginning aromatic cultivation. The farmer then has six months from getting the registration form or registration number to request the first subsidy instalment from the CAP office in the set format, giving bank account details. This format is available for download on the CAP website (www.capuk.in). A committee led by the District Coordinator next carries out a second field inspection with the farmer present and recommends a grant matching the area actually under cultivation. These applications are then examined and cleared by the Grant Approval Committee at the Director level. CAP pays 75% of the sanctioned amount straight into the farmer's bank account as the first instalment. The balance 25% is released in the third year of aromatic cultivation once plant survival has been checked, and the request for this balance must follow the same steps described above.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
