How to Apply

Offline Application

Applicants can apply for Fruit Area Expansion through the offline application process outlined below.

📋

Application Process

Officers or staff at the Horticulture Mobile team Centre provide the application forms, which can also be downloaded from the department's website: https://shm.uk.gov.in .
Applications for winter planting are accepted from September to October, and those for rainy season planting from April to June. Land records such as Khasra and Khatauni must accompany the form. Where land is leased, the lease certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Udhyan Card, bank account details and mobile number must also be provided.
At present, applications are taken offline only. Farmers hand in the completed form and documents at their Horticulture Mobile team Centre, and the form doubles as a proposal. Staff at each centre must help any farmer who has trouble filling it in.
Under centrally-sponsored schemes, the Horticulture Mobile team Centre sends the submitted proposal to the district level, which forwards it to the state level and then to the Government of India. When the Government of India approves the action plan, targets are passed back down to the district level via the Directorate.
Under state-sponsored schemes, the Horticulture Mobile team Centre sends applications to the district level and on to the Directorate. When the Directorate approves the farmers' proposals, approvals or work orders go out to the districts according to the Government Order.
Once a proposal is cleared, the district officer sends the farmer an acceptance letter and also calls to inform them. The farmer can then buy fruit saplings at a 50% subsidy from the relevant Horticulture Mobile team Centre. Beneficiaries are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the budget available.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
