About Funeral Grant (Sainik Welfare)
Funded from the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund of the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, the “Funeral Grant” is a welfare scheme that pays funeral assistance when an ex-Serviceman (ESM) or the Widow of an ESM dies: ₹12,000/- on the death of the ESM and ₹10,000/- on the death of the Widow of the ESM. Only Ex-servicemen/Widows of Ex-servicemen registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry are covered, and applications are taken offline.
