About Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Awas Navinikarn Yojna
The BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana was introduced by the Haryana government to help the State’s backward classes by funding house repairs. Beneficiaries can get up to Rs 80,000 sanctioned to fix their old homes, though coverage is limited to Scheduled Castes (SCs), De-notified Tribes, and Tapriwas Caste. It is a G2C service, and online applications are accepted only on https://saralharyana.gov.in/. The Dr Ambedkar Navinikaran Yojana can also be applied for offline by collecting the form from the Tehsil/Welfare Department. Fill it in with the required information and attach the contractor’s detailed repair quotation; once complete, get it attested and hand it in to the Tehsil/Welfare Department. The eligibility conditions for the scheme are listed below:
- The applicant must be a member of the Scheduled Castes.
- The applicant must own a plot of 50 sq.yard in rural areas or 35 sq.yard in urban areas.
- The applicant must permanently reside in Haryana.
- The applicant must appear in the Below Poverty Line family list.
- The applicant must hold a bank account for receiving the funds.
Applicants need to keep the following documents ready:
- Ration card
- Voter identity card
- Aadhaar card
- Caste certificate
- Land certificate
- Income certificate
- Estimate of repair costs
- Photocopy of the bank passbook
