About Deepawali Cash Gift Scheme (PULWS)
The “Deepawali Cash Gift Scheme (PULWS)” is a welfare measure for unorganised workers run by the “Puducherry Unorganised Labourers’ Welfare Society” under the Labour Department, Union Territory of Puducherry. At Diwali, the Society gives each unorganised worker a cash gift of ₹500/-, paid by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the worker’s bank account. Applications are taken offline.
