About Award of Puducherry State Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme
Started by the Directorate of School Education, Union Territory of Puducherry, the “Award of Puducherry State Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme” exists so that poverty alone never stops a talented student from continuing academic studies. Scholarships go to 11th and 12th standard students who have been promoted to the next higher class after scoring 60% & 50% marks in the 10th and 11th standards respectively.

NOTE: Where applications exceed the available number, the Directorate picks beneficiaries strictly by percentage of marks from the top downward, giving preference first to students of Government schools, then Government Aided schools, and then Government-recognized Private schools.
Benefits Provided
Award of Puducherry State Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Number of Slots Each year, 90 scholarships are given for the 11th Standard and 90 scholarships for the 12th Standard. * The count may change based on funds available in that year's budget. Rate of Scholarship
Day Scholar
Day Scholar: ₹60/month per student (₹600/year/student).
Hosteller
Hosteller: ₹100/month per student (₹1,000/year/student). * Paid for ten months in an academic year. Mode of Disbursement Funds are transferred directly into the applicant's Aadhaar-seeded bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) using the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
