About Atal Awasiya Vidyala Yojana
Launched by the Uttar Pradesh government, the Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana offers free schooling to the children of construction workers in the informal sector. Two children aged between 6 and 16 of each registered worker can study free of charge in dedicated residential schools.
Through the UP Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Yojana, poor children of construction workers in Uttar Pradesh get a free education. At present the scheme runs in 18 districts of the state, with the aim of giving these children a chance to succeed and raise their standard of living
