About Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati Evam Anusuchit Janjati Chhatrawas Anudan Yojana
Launched by the SC and ST Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, the “Mukhyamantri Anusoochit Jaati Evam Anusoochit Janajati Chhatrawas Anudan Yojana” gives ₹1,000/- per month to students who study while living in Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe hostels. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students staying in these hostels are also provided a cot, mattress, bed-sheet, a table and chair for study, and utensils for cooking and the kitchen, etc. The scheme builds on these facilities to improve what students receive, to make students from weaker sections of society aware of higher education, to raise the rate of higher education, and to meet students’ hostel-related needs.
