About Late Jaswantsinhji Thakor and Late Rasiklal Andhariya Classical Music Scholarship
Offered by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, the “Late Jaswantsinhji Thakor and Late Rasiklal Andhariya Classical Music Scholarship” works to preserve and promote classical music in the state. Eligible Gurus receive financial support for teaching, and their disciples for learning. Over a 10-month classical music training period, each selected Guru may train up to 2 disciples, with monetary help going to both. Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Akademi, Gandhinagar, implements the scheme and calls for applications through a public advertisement every year.
