Financial Assistance for Tagore Cultural Complexes (TCC)
About Financial Assistance for Tagore Cultural Complexes (TCC)
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, runs “Financial Assistance for Tagore Cultural Complexes (TCC),” a revised version of the earlier “Tagore Cultural Complexes” scheme, now folded into the “Scheme of Financial Assistance for Creation of Cultural Infrastructure” so it can continue beyond the 12th Five-Year Plan. The scheme fosters and coordinates cultural activities across States and Union Territories in music, drama, dance, literature, and fine arts, promoting cultural unity nationwide and giving especially the younger generation avenues for creative expression and learning. Cultural complexes built under the scheme serve as centres of excellence across art forms, equipped for stage performances, exhibitions, seminars, literary events, and film screenings — going beyond the original Tagore Auditorium concept to foster multi-dimensional creativity and cultural expression.
