The Social Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, runs the “Danveer Bhamashah Honors” to foster a spirit of charity, harmony, patriotism, sacrifice and cultural devotion across every section of society in the state. The state government introduced this honour to recognise remarkable individuals/organizations whose charity, hospitality and exemplary assistance stand out within Chhattisgarh. Objectives: Through charity and social harmony among all groups, the honour seeks to nurture patriotism, sacrifice and cultural devotion in the state. It also aims to boost public participation in lasting social service activities, helping a healthy climate of social consciousness take root in Chhattisgarh. The recognition is conferred on an outstanding person/organization for such notable work.

Note 1: Where the government or the jury gets a proposal through some other route, a decision on the award may be made after seeking the view of the concerned district, if needed. Note 2: If an entry from an organization/person is not chosen, the original entry may be sent back to that organization/person via the district administration. Note 3: Ordinarily a single person or organization is chosen for the award. If the jury considers it necessary, however, two persons or organizations may be selected, in which case the prize money is shared equally between them. Note 4: Missing out on selection once does not imply that the person's/organization's work lacks merit. Those who meet the set criteria may send in entries again in later years.

Offline Application

Application Procedure:
Using the prescribed format, send the fully completed application to the Joint/Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department at the District Office.
Selection Process:
The State Level Jury decides which person or organization receives the award, based on proposals forwarded with the District Collector's recommendation about the continuous and unquestioned work of the person/organization.

Announcement of Award:
The jury passes its decision confidentially to the state government, which then officially announces the person/organization chosen for the honour.
Award Distribution Ceremony:
The government will hold the award ceremony at a venue and on a date it fixes.

The purpose of this honor is to encourage patriotism, sacrifice, and cultural devotion in the state through the spirit of charity and harmony among all sections of the society.
