About Chief Ministergi Artistesinggi Tengbang (CMAT) – Scheme Of Festival Assistance For Participating In International & National Festival
The Dept. of Art and Culture, Govt. of Manipur, operates the “Chief Ministergi Artistesinggi Tengbang (CMAT) – Scheme of Festival Assistance for Participating in International & National Festival”. It gives artists a grant towards their travel and journey expenses when they are invited to perform at International Festivals overseas, on condition that the artists themselves meet the international travel costs, visa fees, performance remuneration and similar costs.

The applicant must be a resident/domicile of Manipur

The applicant, whether individual or group, must not be fully sponsored for the same purpose by any person or institution. Method of Selection: A Screening / Selection Committee set up by the Government chooses the artists/groups, and also decides whether a given festival or event counts as an International or a National Festival.
