About Cash Award to Women Players of the State
Through the “Cash Award to Women Players of the State” scheme, the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat encourages more women to take up sport and honours their success with cash incentives for strong showings in state and national competitions. Women athletes who finish first, second, or third in individual or team events at state level, or who represent Gujarat in national competitions, get a yearly scholarship tied to their rank and category. The Sports Authority of Gujarat implements the scheme.

Benefits Provided
Cash Award to Women Players of the State provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
First Position (Individual & Team Sports at State…
First Position (Individual & Team Sports at State Level/ National Representation): Women players who finish first, or who represent the State nationally, are awarded ₹4,800/- annually
Second Position (Individual & Team Sports at State Level):
A yearly award of ₹3,600/- goes to players placing second
Third Position (Individual Sports at State Level):
Players securing third place are paid ₹2,400/- every year
