About Banglar Yuba Sathi
Run by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal, “Banglar Yuba Sathi” backs educated young people without jobs by paying them ₹1,500/- each month via direct bank transfer. Payments continue for up to 5 year, or until the youth finds employment or joins another scheme, whichever happens first.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Banglar Yuba Sathi, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
Applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal.
Applicants must be 21 to 40 years old as on 01.04.2026.
Applicants must be without employment.
Applicants must have cleared the Madhyamik or an equivalent examination.
Notes:
Yearly verification of live status of the beneficiary of the scheme: Every year, a check is carried out to confirm whether the beneficiary is alive.
Stopping or withholding of financial assistance: After allowing the beneficiary a chance to be heard, the Government may halt or hold back the assistance where:

Benefits Provided
Banglar Yuba Sathi provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance: A monthly payment of ₹1,500/-.
Mode of Disbursement: Money is sent via Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) into an AADHAR Linked Bank Account held only in the name of the eligible unemployed youth.
Frequency of Disbursement: Payment is made every month or at regular intervals.
Validity of Benefit: Support lasts no longer than 5 years, as long as eligibility continues, or until the youth gets a job or joins another scheme, whichever comes first.
