Organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar recognises children for exceptional achievement and stands as India’s highest civilian honour for children. Every year, children aged 5-18 receive it for outstanding abilities and achievements across seven categories:

Ceremony Details
1. Winners are announced every year on December 26, coinciding with ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. 1. The President of India confers the awards at a special ceremony/function held in New Delhi each January. 1. Up to 25 awards are given, though the National Selection Committee may allow this maximum to be relaxed at its discretion.
