“Subsidy for Water Conservation/ Environment Compliance” is a sub-scheme under the “West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme,” launched on 13 December 2022 by West Bengal’s Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Textiles, and valid for five years. > Objective of the “West Bengal Textile Incentive Scheme” Scheme:
The parent scheme extends fiscal incentives across the entire textile value chain—from fibre to stitched garments—to accelerate the sector’s development statewide, maximize resource utilization, create jobs, and position the state as a preferred textile investment destination. > Objective of the “Subsidy for Water Conservation/ Environment Compliance” Scheme:
Under this incentive, an eligible textile enterprise gets reimbursed for expenditure on a captive Effluent Water Treatment Plant for wastewater recycling and/or other pollution-control devices.

- The incentives shall not be applicable to the industrial units/ enterprises that have been registered and for which eligibility certificates have been issued /incentives have been sanctioned and disbursed under the respective Incentive Scheme of the State.
- That has been registered and for which eligibility certificates have been issued in terms of the respective Incentive Scheme of the State but no claim and sanction of incentive has been made.
