Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence
About Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence
The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, runs the “Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE)” scheme to help faculty members working regularly at State Universities/Colleges and private academic institutions move temporarily into an established, publicly funded central institution — such as an IIT, IISc, IISER, NIT, CSIR/ICAR/ICMR lab, another central institution, or a Central University — preferably located near their own institution, to carry out research. The arrangement lets the Principal Investigator (PI) continue working at both the host and parent institute, on terms mutually agreed between the PI and Mentor. Areas Covered under the scheme: The scheme spans Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences, including interdisciplinary areas. > Duration of Support:
Support runs for three years.
