SHRESHTA, an umbrella scheme from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, includes a component called “SHRESHTA Mode 2: Non-Governmental Organization Operated Schools”, aimed at giving Scheduled Caste students quality education through grant-in-aid institutions and residential high schools run by Non-Governmental Organizations, addressing the education gap in service-deficient, Scheduled Caste-dominant areas.
