Launched by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, “Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh / Direct Benefits Transfer For LPG (PAHAL)” credits LPG subsidies straight into consumers’ bank accounts, closing off diversion and cutting down on leakages so the process stays transparent. Consumers gain more control, delivery becomes smoother, and subsidy self-selection is enabled, with provisions for both Aadhaar-linked and non-Aadhaar-linked accounts. In doing so, the initiative safeguards consumer entitlement, guards against fraud, and keeps subsidy management running efficiently.
