About National CSR Awards
Instituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, the National CSR Awards recognise companies whose innovative and sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives have benefited society, and stand as India’s highest honour for CSR excellence. The awards aim to: 1. Spur healthy competition among companies across categories to drive excellence in their CSR work 2. Encourage companies to fully utilise their eligible CSR spend 3. Recognise impact, innovation, use of technology, attention to gender and environmental issues, and the sustainability, scalability, and replicability of CSR activities; and 4. Steer corporate CSR activity so its benefits reach marginalised communities and remote parts of the country. The National CSR Awards comprise three main categories: 1. Corporate Awards for Excellence in CSR 2. CSR Awards for CSR in Aspirational Districts/Difficult Terrains 3. CSR Awards for contribution in National Priority Areas
