About Mukhya Mantri Matritva Sahayata Yojana
The Women and Child Development Department, Government of Haryana launched the “Mukhya Mantri Matritva Sahayata Yojana” on 8th March, 2022. It partly makes up for lost wages so that women can rest properly before and after childbirth, and it encourages pregnant and lactating women to seek health care. Aimed especially at women having their second child (boy), it also seeks to promote institutional delivery and adherence to immunization. Beneficiaries receive ₹5,000/- in their accounts by direct benefit transfer (DBT). Payment follows once set conditions, including registration of the child and the first immunization cycle, are met.
