Merit Based Award and Recognition Of High Performance In The Board Exams Of SSC And HSSC In The State Of Goa
About Merit Based Award and Recognition Of High Performance In The Board Exams Of SSC And HSSC In The State Of Goa
For Scheduled Tribe Students, the Department of Tribal Welfare, Government of Goa, implements the ‘Merit-Based Award and Recognition of High Performance in the Board exams of SSC and HSSC in the state of Goa’. It seeks to motivate students through Merit Based Awards tied to performance benchmarks and to give financial incentives to high-performing students from economically weak backgrounds. A financial award is given to any Scheduled Caste student who passes Class 10th and Class 12th with 50% marks or more. Since very few High-Rank holders in Class 10th and Class 12th come from the ST Community, the scheme aims to raise its representation among them.
