About Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for OBC (Dhangar) Students
Because the existing Post Matric Scholarship amounts fall short, the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa runs the “Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for OBC (Dhangar) Students” to top up the maintenance allowance these students receive. OBC (Dhangar) students get extra monthly allowances to help with food, travel and disability-related costs. Applications are submitted online, and the scheme is implemented by the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal, Government of Goa.

Additional Maintenance Allowance
Day Scholars
Day Scholars: an extra ₹750 is paid each month
Hostel Residents
Hostel Residents: the monthly top-up rises to ₹1,500 Duration: paid for 10 months of the academic year Additional Disability Allowance Amount: students with a disability get a further ₹750 per month Duration: this too runs for 10 months of the academic year
