About Market Support Scheme for Smaller Business Units
Introduced in 2018, the “Market Support Scheme for Smaller Business Units” forms part of the “Information Technology Policy Schemes” of the Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. It is designed to give Market Support to eligible Information Technology Units in the State of Goa. Units taking part in national/international exhibitions are reimbursed 50% of the exhibition rental cost, for a space of up to 9 square meters. The scheme is framed under Goa’s IT Policy, which sees Goa as an aspirational geographical and human resource base for IT Units and a preferred place for them to invest and expand.

NOTE 1:
Benefits depend on budgetary allocation. If the allocation is exceeded and benefits are stopped, no Promissory Estoppel will apply. NOTE 2: Committee pre-approval must be obtained before attending an exhibition for a reimbursement to be claimed.

Exclusions / Who Is Not Eligible
The units availing similar financial incentives under any other policy of the Government of Goa are not eligible for availing benefits under this scheme.
