About Labour Accident benefit Scheme- Gujarat Labour Welfare Board
The Gujarat Labour Welfare Board, under the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat, introduced the “Labour Accident Benefit Scheme”. It gives financial help to workers (Shramyogis) who are left disabled during their duty period because of an accident or any other cause at the establishment’s working premises.

Eligibility is limited to workers (Shramyogis) whose organization/unit…
Eligibility is limited to workers (Shramyogis) whose organization/unit has paid the Labour Welfare Fund regularly over the last one year. Note 01: The application has to be filed within 2 years of the accident. Applications received after the deadline will be processed at the office. Note 02: Proof that the organization paid the said amount must be furnished by the worker. Note 03: The Welfare Commissioner's decision is final, and jurisdiction lies in Ahmedabad.

A worker whose disability falls between 40% and 70% is given financial assistance of ₹25,000/-.
Where the disability is above 70%, the assistance…
Where the disability is above 70%, the assistance rises to ₹50,000/-. Note: For disabilities between 40% and 70%, the organization must pay ₹12,500/-, and for disabilities above 70%, the benefit amount is ₹25,000/-. The board will also cover any amount payable as per law.
