About Kisan Suryoday Yojana (KSY)
In 2020-2021, Gujarat’s Energy and Petro Chemicals Department launched the “Kisan Suryoday Yojana (KSY)” so that farmers could get electricity during daytime hours for farm work. The scheme meets farmers’ power needs by supplying electricity between 5:00 am and 9:00 pm, and by making the fullest use of solar and other non-conventional energy, it keeps the supply dependable and environment-friendly. KSY is being rolled out in phases as solar and alternative power plants come into operation.
