About Kaushal Vikas Yojana
Construction workers registered with the Board often lack the skills that formal training brings, and this scheme sets out to close that gap by opening up training for competency building and technical upgrading. At present, these workers learn only on the job, since institutional limitations keep them away from formal technical courses, and as a result they struggle to earn fair wages and reach better services. Because money is frequently what stops workers and their families from taking up formal training, the scheme reimburses the cost of training as well as the wages lost during it. Closing this financial gap allows people to raise their skill levels and improve their career prospects.

A dependent son can be at most 21 years old.
Benefits Provided
Kaushal Vikas Yojana provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Training fees and materials:
The Board pays back the fees fixed by the institute, as well as the cost of textbooks and other stationery needed for the training.
Exam:
Trainees are required to clear an assessment test once the training ends.
Wages
When the registered worker personally attends the training, he/she is reimbursed a sum equal to the minimum wage of an unskilled worker; this applies only to registered workers and not to dependents.
